Tendu Toning is a hybrid workout that is a fusion of ballet and fitness. It was created by former professional ballerina turned personal trainer, Rachel Speck. She wanted to create a new method to help dancers get stronger in the things they do everyday, but also for the average person to help them achieve a long, lean ballerina type body. Tendu Toning takes traditional ballet technique and combines it with fitness by adding different types of weights, resistance, and increased repetitions for more efficient results. Arabesque grande battements and second position plie' glides are just some of the fun ballet fitness moves you will learn how to teach in this certification course. A simple ballet step called an attitude, when combined with weights and repetitions is one form of how the Tendu Toning method is designed to give a person their desired results.
The Tendu Toning certification is a 2 day workshop.
In this course, you will...
-Learn all the official terms and definitions of Tendu Toning which are a fusion of ballet and fitness terminology.
-Learn how to put each individual exercise into combinations, and how to pair the combinations into a class
-The proper format and construction of an official Tendu Toning class
-Get to participate in a real Tendu Toning class, and also get the opportunity put everything you've learned to use and teach a sample Tendu Toning class
-Get to keep the 100 page certification book, official Tendu Toning dvd, and the ball and band
